I'm was honored to be put in Encyclopedia of Personalities of the Republic of Poland as an artist with lots of achievements on social ground such as performer, visual art creator and doctor of art.

I successfully graduated on Academy of Fine Arts in Gdasnk in Sculpture and perfomance profile with "Theory of the mask" which refers to the exploration of the phenomens such as desychronization of "I" in contemporary culture, conception of "idol".

About Dr Joanna Zochowska
Who I Am
DR JOANNA ŻOCHOWSKA – PAINTER SCULPTOR
​Born and living in Bielsko-Biala in Poland.
I graduated on Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk in November 2015 as Doctor of art, specialisation Sculpture.
​
In 2010 I received a master's degree specialization - sculptural shaping of space.
​
My first sketches came in 2004 during practice in Atelier De Mempenti in Marseille in France. In 2005 I returned to Poland and began studies of art at the University of Silezia in Cieszyn.
Now there are performed many beautiful expositions in Poland and Czech Republic.
My favorite forms of expression are sculpture, painting and installation.

Identity - Mask theory
October 2012 - November 2015
Lately I was defending my doctorate and gained title PHD of fine arts. The sculpture named Identity, refers to the exploration of the phenomens such as desychronization of "I" in contemporary culture, conception of "idol", mask psychic and information exchange, based on assumptions Jung and the golden geometry.
Mask serie
November 2014
This serie of drawings was inspired by reaserch on human identity. The process which is shown is a process of taking of the masks and touching socialy created identities in mans mind.
Performative art, Korkoro theatre
October 2012 - May 2014
Research on doctorate studies was developed by integration with Korkoro Theatre in Gdansk. Open, performative theatre was concetrated on taking of the mask of persona - fake identity to release true expression of body movement and act. it was based on the Grotowski method. There were performed plays such as Sheakspeare's Romeo&Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, From Poland with love regiered by Krzysztof Dziwny.
